Beatriz is in her third-year of a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Laws degree.
She has previously volunteered at the Refugee Advice and Casework Service legal centre and has worked as a paralegal at an immigration law firm, helping primarily with citizenship and protection visa cases. These experiences have geared her interests towards migration law and refugee protection. She joined the Journal in hopes of expanding her legal knowledge and refining her writing and research skills.
For fun, she likes to read thriller books, or, whenever amply motivated, she likes to go on hikes with her friends. With a major in French Studies for her Arts degree, Beatriz hopes to find herself in France on exchange next year.
