Jack is in his fifth and penultimate year of an Arts/Law degree, majoring in International Relations. He currently works as a Research Assistant in the School of Law, focusing on public international law and the international law of the sea. He has previously worked as an adviser to a member of the Parliament of Australia and at UNSW Law Centre for Crime, Law and Justice where he focused on police powers and public policy.

In 2019 Jack spent half a year on exchange at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. where he concentrated on the contemporary practice of US constitutional law, developed an academic interest in prison reform and penology, and enjoyed impressing unsuspecting Americans with his best Australian slang.
