Linly is a fifth year Commerce/Law student, majoring in Financial Economics. She was on the UNSW Business Dean’s List in 2014 and received an academic scholarship to study economics at the University of Amsterdam. She joined the UNSW Law Journal because she finds editing therapeutic and wants to contribute in any small way to informing and inspiring law reform in Australia.
Linly is passionate about gender equality and is looking into exploring this passion through a career in family law or employment law. She has worked as a paralegal at a defamation law firm and as a Legal Research Assistant to the UNSW Law Faculty. She is currently working at a national firm, interning in the Chief Magistrate’s Office at Downing Centre and volunteering at the Inner City Legal Centre.
When she can muster the time and energy, Linly can be found wandering art galleries or secondhand clothing shops. She also loves scuba diving and to date her proudest achievement is conquering her fear of sharks.
