Rose is in her sixth and penultimate year of a combined Bachelor of Laws /Bachelor of International Studies degree, majoring in Chinese and International Relations. She recently returned to Australia after spending 18 months in Taiwan as a recipient of the New Colombo Plan scholarship, and is now vainly attempting to maintain her Mandarin. Current preoccupations include exploring pathways that will engage her interest in public law and her experience in Asia.
In 2015 Rose interned with DFAT at the Australian Office in Taipei and in mid-2016 worked for a law firm in Hong Kong. She now works as a law clerk at King & Wood Mallesons and as a legal assistant for the Council of Law Reporting for NSW. Rose was awarded the Deans Award for Arts and Social Sciences in 2012 and 2014.
In her spare time Rose enjoys adding to her tea collection and her book collection, and is currently trying her hand at reading in classical Chinese. She is also a keen cyclist, and can most reliably be found riding laps of Centennial Park on the weekend.
