Shivika Gupta is a fourth year Arts/Law student, majoring in Linguistics and minoring in French. Having received a student exchange academic scholarship, she has just completed a semester of study at the University of Edinburgh. Currently, her interests lie in law reform and criminal law, particularly, examining the social and legal impacts of the prison system. Shivika has previously worked as an assistant to a duty-solicitor, and will undertake an Aurora Internship at the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies as a research assistant in early 2017. In her spare time she loves travelling, (it is her dream to one day travel to every single country in the world and is about 1/5 of the way there), travel photography, reading non-fiction, making lists of restaurants with vegan degustation menus she can only hope to one day afford, and thinking about learning Japanese, Icelandic, Arabic, or all three.
