William Vu

William is in his fifth year of study towards a Bachelor of Law and Commerce majoring in Accounting.

William is active in his participation at UNSW. He is heavily involved in the UNSW Law Society, serving as Vice-President (Education) in 2017 and then as Co-President in 2018. He has been involved in other student societies across campus, from Student Development in the Transition and Executive teams, Business Society as a Peer Mentor and Arc’s Event Horizon as part of the Organising Team.

William clerked at MinterEllison over the 2017/18 summer and currently paralegals at DLA Piper, alongside being a Law Peer Tutor, Indigenous Academic Tutor, Justice of the Peace and Research Assistant to Assoc Prof Gabrielle Appleby at UNSW.

William was selected as the only student in Australia to attend the UNCITRAL Working Group III meetings in New York City by the UNCITRAL National Coordinating Committee for Australia, where he gained valuable insight into the workings of the United Nations and diplomacy.

In his spare time William likes to listen to a wide ensemble of genres, from Shostakovich to modern house music. He also plays netball with DLA Piper and enjoys runs between UNSW and Coogee Beach.
