Matthew Ling

Matthew is in his third year of a Bachelor of Arts and Law degree. He joined the Law Journal in 2021 and is also currently an Editor for the UNSW Court of Conscience. He has a particular interest in statutory interpretation, and both administrative and constitutional law.

Previously, Matthew worked for the Department of Communities and Justice at the Downing Centre Local Courts. He also worked at a law firm, supporting the litigation team.

During his time at university, he enjoys mooting. He is currently convening the UNSW Private Law Moot and was previously the Senior Mooting Competitions Director in 2020.

In his spare time, Matthew enjoys all things cinema, bouldering and is a big foodie.
